This summer, Sankofa Square proudly presents Melanin Market — a vibrant, community-rooted marketplace dedicated to celebrating Black and People of Colour entrepreneurs, artists, and performers. More than just a shopping experience, Melanin Market is a cultural celebration that brings together local creators, families, and visitors for unforgettable afternoons of music, food, art, and connection.

The second edition of Melanin Market returns to Sankofa Square with an afternoon full of rhythm, culture, and community. Presented in partnership with Fresh Up and Sonyc Unyon Records, this event blends soulful sounds with a vibrant marketplace spotlighting Black and POC entrepreneurs, artists, and food vendors.

Enjoy live performances by a powerful lineup of local talent including Golde London, LOTi, Tash, TAREK FUNK BAND, Kojo Easy Damptey, Sewa, Juliet, and DJ cookiedoh. Shop handcrafted goods, savour delicious eats, and vibe out to music that feeds the soul.
