FRIDAY, MAY 30 | 11:00 - 20:00
SATURDAY, MAY 31 | 11:00 - 15:00
Honouring the start of Indigenous History Month, this two-day festival will feature performances, workshops, an artisan market, and historical and cultural presentations with Indigenous Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and creators. While commemorating the legacies of Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack, the festival will celebrate Indigenous artists, music, and meaningful actions toward reconciliation.
Kamamooshkaming (kah-ma-moosh-ka-ming) Saiiwehwining (sah-gee-way-winning) means “coming together in a good way”. Just as Indigenous people and communities have done since time immemorial, the festival will bring together individuals – from artists and musicians to students and educators – to collaborate, celebrate, and build community.
